The Core is now offering Yoga classes with Krista Overwater. I met Krista and knew she would be a great fit for the studio. She is passionate about teaching and she focuses on a very alignment based practice. She teaches a Hatha Flow practice that keeps you active but also deep stretches to gain that mobility, balance and/or flexibility you are missing in your body and your life.
A note from Krista:
I’m Krista, I am and always will be a mover. I have a deep passion for the outdoors and all things activity. This passion drives me to constantly seek further refinement in the way that I move and care for my body. I love to try new things, and I never want to have physical limitations that stop me. I am a Registered Yoga Teacher, Holistic Nutritionist, and life enthusiast.
I have spent my life working with people, and most of us have high levels of stress and discomfort in our bodies and minds. I wanted to find a way to make life more fun, more comfortable, and straight up – more awesome! When I found yoga, I found a pretty phenomenal remedy to these modern day struggles. Practicing yoga brings strength, mobility, and some peace in this chaotic life. I fell completely in love and have been committed to the practice of yoga since I first rolled out a mat in 2008. In 2012 I attained my yoga teacher training under the guidance of Dan Clement, Elissa Gumushel, and Joy Morrell.
I teach an active hatha practice that emphasizes moving with precision. I use humor and easy to follow instructions to help facilitate a practice that everyone can feel comfortable in. If you think you are “not flexible enough” for yoga, try my class, you won’t look back!
Monday’s 10:00 am-11:00 am
Tuesday’s 6:15 pm-7:15 pm
Wednesday’s 12 pm-12:50 pm
The classes are all on a Drop-in basis and you will need to bring your own Mat and you can talk to Krista about Punch Passes if you will be attending on a regular basis.
